Our mission

Established in 2016, SAP Labs Berlin aimed to be the front-runner and thought leader in enterprise application software, focusing on innovating parts of the core business, exploring trends, and developing new technologies. 

In addition to our labs locations in the Berlin area, we offer SAP Data Space and SAP Innovation Center offices. SAP Data Space – our flagship customer and networking location in Hackescher Markt – is a collaboration hub for innovators, change makers, partners, start-ups, artists, and others interested in digital transformation. SAP Innovation Center in Potsdam houses interdisciplinary teams focused on business process intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and sustainability topics.

The main building of SAP Berlin is located near Hackescher Markt. It is here that the marketing, HR, business process intelligence, finance, and my more departments sit, along with colleagues from all board areas and functions, such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA.

The first SAP Innovation Center is part of the Think Campus ecosystem at beautiful Jungfern Lake in Potsdam.

SAP Innovation Center Potsdam is one of SAP’s largest innovation hubs. Interdisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, product experts, and business developers are working on future trends, such as artificial intelligence. The offices in Münzstraße are located a few steps away from the SAP Berlin main building in Rosenthaler Straße, strengthening SAP's presence in the heart of the German capital.

Here, various teams, such as the artificial intelligence and business process intelligence teams, SAP AppHaus team, and colleagues from Signavio, work on various projects. With many companies and agencies in the vicinity, and with the office housed in a classical building, the whole setup has a certain Berlin flair. To foster a creative and inspiring working atmosphere and to encourage exchange between colleagues, the offices are designed as open spaces, allowing managers to work next to developers and researchers daily.

SAP is connected with Berlin and has a strong presence in the capital. In addition to sites located in the heart of Berlin, we also have an office in Schönefeld. This location is in the direct vicinity of the new Berlin Airport BER, providing good accessibility.

The ticketing team works in the Schönefeld office and is focused on developing SAP Event Ticketing and providing software that helps customers manage tickets, customers, and event processes quickly and efficiently.

Coming soon: A new digital campus

SAP continues to focus on Berlin as an innovative location and will expand our presence in the capital by investing more than €200 million into a new location near Berlin central station.

With room for up to 1,400 workspaces in the more than 37,000 square meters in “Quartier Heidestrasse,” the new location will strengthen technology areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business process intelligence. This investment highlights the significance of the capital region as an important place for dialogue with customers, politicians, start-ups, and universities. 

The move into the digital campus is currently planned for early 2023.
