What is SAP Reltio in SAP Business Data Cloud?

SAP Reltio is the cloud-native layer that unifies SAP and non-SAP data into trusted, multidomain views of every entity you run on—customers, products, suppliers, assets, and more.

Establish a trusted foundation for the knowledge core with unified multidomain master data delivered as interoperable data products in milliseconds:

  • Resolve entities using LLM-powered matching across SAP and non-SAP sources.

  • Increase quality through continuous monitoring, root cause analysis, and remediation.

  • Govern continuously using consent, lineage, audit trails, and policy controls.

  • Start quickly with industry ontologies, configurations, and more than 1,000 connectors.

Key benefits

Give AI agents context for reliable actions

Access entity views, relationships, interactions, and attributes from unstructured sources—so AI agents understand how your business actually works.

See the full picture with unified SAP and non-SAP data

Bring master data together from every system—including third-party and unstructured sources—without waiting for custom pipelines or one-off integrations.

Gain real-time speed with reusable data assets

Use unified data products within the knowledge core in real time, so each new use case builds on the same context, minimizing repetitive work.

Use high-quality data across domains

Validate, enrich, monitor, and remediate master data across every domain, so issues surface with their root cause and are fixed in bulk, not record by record.

Jumpstart your implementation with velocity packs

Start from industry ontologies, prebuilt configurations, and more than 1,000 connectors instead of designing a data model and building entity resolution from scratch.

Integrate master data across processes

Put unified master data into the operational and analytical processes that run your business.

Real-time, unified data products

Publish unified master data as data products that read and write in milliseconds through APIs and streaming—at high volume worldwide. Access controls, consent, and lineage travel with the data, feeding operational applications, analytics, the knowledge core, and AI agents from one governed source.

AI-augmented entity resolution and enrichment

Patented LLM-powered entity resolution works alongside matching rules to identify when data from different sources describe the same entity, including matches that rules alone may not detect. SAP Reltio then builds the resolved entity automatically: cleansing and standardizing values with attributes and interactions from third-party and unstructured sources.

Multidomain, comprehensive entity views

Get multidomain views that carry each entity’s attributes, relationships, hierarchies, and interactions, drawn from structured and unstructured sources. Survivorship rules decide which values wins when sources disagree, across customers, products, suppliers, locations, and assets.

Dynamic knowledge graph

Represent entities, relationships, and hierarchies in a knowledge graph built on an extensible, machine-interpretable ontology. Applications and AI agents can access business context directly instead of reassembling those relationships every time they ask a question.

Continuous data quality and stewardship

Profile and monitor master data against business rules, trace issues to root causes, prioritize issues by business impact, and remediate records in bulk. Prebuilt agents for match resolution, data quality, and enrichment automate stewardship tasks as sources evolve, so quality holds instead of decaying.

Industry-specific velocity packs

Each velocity pack includes an industry ontology, prebuilt configurations, prepackaged connectors, and documentation, helping teams extend an existing data model instead of creating one from scratch. More than 1,000 connectors and an API-first architecture connect SAP and non-SAP sources without custom pipelines.

Frequently asked questions

SAP Reltio is the data unification and MDM capability of SAP Business Data Cloud. It unifies master data from SAP and non-SAP sources into comprehensive views of customers, products, suppliers, locations, and assets and the relationships, hierarchies, and interactions between them.

Those unified views are published as unified data products that operational applications, analytics, and AI agents consume in milliseconds, and they form part of the knowledge core of SAP Business Data Cloud.

SAP Reltio and SAP Master Data Governance are complementary and sit in the same layer of the business data fabric. SAP Master Data Governance enforces governance and process control at the point of data creation in SAP ERP, so master data is correct from the start and fully auditable. SAP Reltio unifies master data across any source—other SAP applications, non-SAP systems, and third-party data—and continuously monitors and improves its quality. Existing SAP Master Data Governance customers can add SAP Reltio when their master data spans systems beyond SAP ERP.

SAP Reltio unifies core business entities from SAP and non-SAP sources across multiple domains at once—customers (organizations, contacts, and consumers), products, suppliers, locations, and assets.

It also captures the relationships and hierarchies between them and extracts attributes and interactions from unstructured sources, so entity views reflect more than what structured systems record. More than 1,000 prebuilt connectors and an API-first architecture handle the integration.

Agents need unified master data when they act on entities, resolve a customer issue, reprice a product, or evaluate a supplier. When data about that entity is duplicated, conflicting, or missing its relationships, the agent reasons from the wrong facts and takes the wrong action.

Simply bringing together data into one place does not fix this—raw consolidated data still contains duplicates and inconsistencies and carries no business relationships. Unified master data resolves inconsistencies and duplicates to give agents a complete, current, and relationship-aware view they can act on with minimal human correction.
