Implementing SAP Public Cloud and Cloud
ALM at Safran Blades
Picture this: a manufacturing business racing against time – manual processes, fragmented data, and zero
visibility across procurement, production and finance. Just months ago, that was Safran Blades’ reality. As
operations scales and deadlines loomed, the risk was clear: inefficiencies could derail delivery
commitments and financial control.
The challenge? Implement a robust, cloud-based ERP in record time. The bold move: deploying SAP
S/4HANA Public Cloud with Best Practices across procurement, sales, production, supply chain, quality,
and finance. Two critical integrations raised the stakes – Peppol Exchange via Document and Reporting
Compliance, and their MES through SAP BTP – all delivered in just four months.
To ensure governance and transparency, Flexso leveraged SAP Cloud ALM for project tracking and
training.
The result? On January 2, 2026, Safran Blades went live with a fully integrated system that empowers real-
time decision-making and scalability. This wasn’t just speed – it set a new benchmark for rapid, cloud-
driven transformation.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
CHALLENGE SOLUTION OUTCOME
From zero to value in 4.5 months: delivering a clean-core ERP ready for the
future
Safran Blades faces the challenge of deploying a standalone
ERP in an extremely short timeframe to enable the operational
launch of its activities by January 2nd, 2026. Missing this
deadline would have delayed production start, reduced stock
visibility, disrupted financial reporting, and impacted
coordination across core business functions. With no existing
systems and limited IT capacity, the ERP had to be robust,
compliant, and scalable from day one. It also had to strictly
follow Safran Group standards, remain as standard as possible
for future SAP4US integration, and meet mandatory Belgian
PEPPOL e-invoicing regulations effective January 1st, 2026.
Flexso delivered a fast, innovation-driven SAP S/4HANA Public
Cloud implementation by keeping the solution fully standard and
leveraging SAP tools such as Cloud ALM.
Unlike traditional SAP projects, the approach relied on
straightforward design, rapid decision-making, and strict
adherence to SAP Best Practices, enabling deployment in just
four months. This full-standard ERP provides end-to-end
visibility on a single environment, streamlines processes from
order to production, and supports Safran Blades’ industrial
objective of producing one part every 20 seconds through
improved efficiency and real-time operational insight.
Safran Blades is now live with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud,
establishing a fully integrated digital core across all key
business areas. As the solution has been live for only one
month, business benefits are not yet quantifiable. However, the
project has already delivered standardized, compliant, and
real-time operations where no ERP existed before. Beyond
day-to-day stability, this implementation supports Safran’s
long-term digital transformation strategy by providing a scalable,
cloud-based platform fully aligned with Safran Group standards
and designed for future integration into the SAP4US core model.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES USE CASE
DEPLOYMENT COUNTRY DEPLOYMENT DATE NUMBER OF END USERS TRANSACTION VOLUME
• Implement a robust ERP system rapidly to ensure the objective of one part
every 20 seconds
• Seamless PEPPOL integration to ensure regulatory compliance while
enabling secure, automated, and future-proof B2B e-invoicing
• Standardize core business processes
• Ensure strong project governance and transparency
• Enable scalability and real-time decision-making
• Set a benchmark for speed and innovation in manufacturing
• Enhance user adoption and change management to ensure fast
time-to-productivity and smooth transition for end users.
Safran Blades faced major industry-specific challenges: launching production
without an ERP exposed the company to manual processes, limited
traceability, compliance risks (PEPPOL, ISO audits), and lack of real-time
visibility across procurement, production, finance, and supply chain. Any delay
threatened operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
In just four months, Flexso rapidly deployed SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
using SAP Best Practices to secure end-to-end process control.
The implementation of SAP Cloud ALM for project governance and training
ensured fast decision-making, smooth user adoption, and execution at scale -
turning a high-risk launch into an agile, controlled manufacturing go-live.
