In this role, she manages the FieldLegal department supporting all business and back-office functions in the Americas.Mary Beth came to SAP in 1997, where she initially served through 2002 as legal counselfor the newly formed SAP subsidiary focused on the U.S. public sector. During this time,Mary Beth was instrumental in establishing and building the new subsidiary, including thelegal, contracts, and proposals departments, ultimately leading to her promotion toAssistant General Counsel in 1999 and Vice-President in 2000. After moving to the SAPAmerica legal department in 2003, Mary Beth was promoted to Senior Vice-President andGeneral Counsel for SAP America in 2008.Before joining SAP, she was employed as an attorney with Oracle Corporation, AmdahlCorporation (now a subsidiary of Fujitsu), and a law firm in Upstate New York, where shepracticed with her father and brother.Mary Beth received a bachelor’s degree in English from Union College in Schenectady,New York, and her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in Albany, New York.
