Our stories
Learn from neurodiverse employees what working at SAP means to their career journey.
For a journey through time
Over 10 years of neuroinclusion at SAP.
Our journey started in Bangalore, India, where V.R. Ferose, Managing Director of SAP Labs India at the time, worked with a dedicated team of volunteers to educate students who are neurodiverse. The results revealed that the students’ tremendous potential could be unlocked in a supportive environment.
This experience led the team to envision what a future of meaningful employment could look like for these students, which formed the concept for the Neuroinclusion at SAP initiative.
Neuroinclusion at SAP aims to create significant employment opportunities for neurodiverse individuals and—with unwavering support from global management—has continued to evolve and grow. Delve into the inspiring stories that have shaped our incredible program.
Calming spaces
Neuroinclusive design.
The way SAP engages with customers has been influenced by Neuroinclusion at SAP. In pursuit of creating an inclusive workspace, we designed a Sensory Relaxation Room at the SAP Prague office to cater to the diverse needs of employees in an open office setting.
Our neurodiverse Czech colleagues played a crucial role in selecting features during the design process, ensuring everyone benefits from this unique space.
Inspired by the sensory-friendly office space, the Tranquility Lounge provided a calm retreat for SAP’s customers and conference attendees to refresh their minds amidst a bustling event. Embracing neurodivergent inclusion principles, the lounge experience offered plush seating, greenery, and calming elements.
