Jan Gilg biography
Jan Gilg is a member of the SAP Extended Board and co-leads the global Customer Success Board area,
which is responsible for the totality of SAP cloud revenue and customer growth. He also leads the SAP
Americas region and has oversight of the global SAP Business Suite organization, which provides an end-to-
end operating model from customer advisory for customers deciding on SAP technology, to sales of SAP
cloud solutions, to customer success management and engagement.
Gilg has spent more than 18 years as an enterprise software executive. Before joining the SAP Extended
Board, Gilg served as President and Chief Product Officer of Cloud ERP. In that role, he was responsible for
Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering and Operations for the entire flagship of the S/4HANA
product suite, Supply Chain, Finance and Industry Solutions.
Gilg has served in a variety of global and regional executive leadership roles at SAP. He previously spent
nearly 10 years living in the United States, where he contributed to SAP’s cloud and portfolio strategy and
helped to establish SAP’s Enterprise Architecture practice in North America. He has a deep customer-facing
consulting, business development, value management, and pre-sales background having played instrumental
roles in driving multi-million dollar deals for SAP in North America.
Gilg holds a master's degree in business information systems from Liechtenstein University and is the
Chairman of the Board of Directors for Taulia, LLC.
