INTRODUCTION
Experiencing and learning a new product can often feel overwhelming when you don’t know how to get
started. Basic trials are designed to help you by gently guiding you through the key workflows and core
features of SAP Build.
Tips for basic trials:
• Once you begin the guided scenarios in the system, please take your time and read the instructions
carefully before performing the actions and clicking “Next”.
• Use Google Chrome browser for the best user experience.
• In this SAP Build basic trial, you’ll have the option to extend your learning with an additional
workbooks that complement SAP Build.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
What is a basic trial? A basic trial lets new users get hands-on with a product and learn by walking
them through key workflows and core features in a guided manner. Users
are shown what to do and where to click, along with explanations and
descriptions of each action and feature.
Note: A basic trial aims to introduce key workflows and core features so not
all features are showcased in the experience.
How do I register for a basic
trial?
Go to this SAP Build .com page and click the “try now” buttons (blue button)
at the top of the page.
What happens after I
register for a basic trial?
After registering for a basic trial, you will immediately receive an email with
information about the basic trial and access to an SAP Build tenant. The
account and access details are also included in the welcome message sent
immediately after registering.
How long will I have access
to the basic trial systems?
You will have access to the basic trial systems for 30 days. Once the 30 days
are up, you can re-register for the basic trial or move to the BTP trial system
to try out the product’s advanced capabilities.
What browsers are
supported with the basic
trial?
Only Google Chrome (recommended) and Microsoft Edge are supported.
What is the difference
between “basic trial” and
“BTP Trial”?
The basic trial lets users try product capabilities and features hands-on, but
only from a business user perspective. Users do not get administrative
access to the basic trial system, nor can they bring in additional data such as
personal data files or company data.

• Create a sales order process using low-code tools
• Build an automation to extract invoice details
• Develop an app for entering the sales order data and triggering the
process
• Create and deploy a full-stack SAP CAP application with Joule and
integrating external data sources from SAP S/4HANA
• Put it all together in a digital workspace to improve user experience
for sales order management
• Bonus unit: Implementing applications with ABAP Cloud on SAP BTP
ABAP environment to extend SAP S/4HANA Cloud
• Bonus unit: Create a custom AI agent in Joule Studio
Can I import or connect to
additional data to test?
Users are restricted from importing or connecting new data within the basic
trial tenant.
Can I explore SAP Build on
my own without the guided
features?
Yes, users can step out of the guided workbook and go through the system
on their own. Please remember to “save” or “publish” to avoid losing your
progress.
Can I perform a pilot or
proof-of-concept?
No. For a pilot of a proof-of-concept execution, we recommend requesting
an SAP Build Free Tier for deeper evaluations or reach out to your SAP
account team for a supported pilot of proof-of-concept.
How do I get support during
my basic trial?
You can ask product related questions in the Application Development and
Automation group where many SAP Build users and experts collaborate on
product questions daily.
Otherwise, you can submit a support ticket for queries about the basic trial.
