Together with the domain and industry models in SAP Business AI Platform, SAP Business Data Cloud ensures every agent, application and decision draws from universal business context and semantics, while continuously learning from existing and incoming data.

The key capabilities of SAP Business Data Cloud include a business data fabric that unifies SAP and third-party data with enterprise-wide governance and provides flexibility for AI workloads with intelligent compute. These capabilities help organisations automate processes and power AI agents and applications that can reason and act across the business.

 

SAP Business Data Cloud capabilities are offered through a variety of SAP products and services, including SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Databricks, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Master Data Governance and SAP Reltio.

Existing SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud customers can continue their services without interruption but they have the option to transition their current solutions to a fully managed solution with SAP Business Data Cloud.

 

SAP Business Data Cloud is the path forward for current on-premises SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) customers. With SAP Business Data Cloud, customers can turn SAP BW data into business-ready data products and access the latest data and AI capabilities, such as bi-directional data sharing and machine learning, while modernising to the cloud.

A business data fabric is an architecture that connects data and context in one governed foundation, serving as the trusted knowledge core for every enterprise application and AI agent. Unlike traditional data management approaches, a business data fabric preserves the meaning behind your data by design, making it foundational for scalable, trustworthy AI. It brings together critical capabilities such as data integration, lakehouse, data products, data marketplace, semantics, knowledge graphs and modelling into a unified platform without compromising architectural flexibility.

A knowledge core is the central layer of a business data fabric that connects your data, processes, policies, simulations and semantics into a unified system. It goes beyond a traditional knowledge graph by enabling AI agents to understand how your business actually works, not just what the data says. Without it, AI agents can conflict with each other or optimise for the wrong outcomes.
