Multi-Model Processing
What is a multi-model database?
A multi-model database is a single, integrated data platform that can store, access, and process different types of data to carry out multiple tasks. With a multi-model database, you can unify various data types and models into a single solution, without having individual technologies for each specific purpose.
Why multi-model?
SAP believes that a single, integrated suite of solutions is more beneficial than having individual technologies for each specific purpose. The resulting patchwork solutions lead to silos that hamper business agility and innovation. A unified multi-model data platform can help overcome these challenges.

SAP HANA Cloud database FAQ's
You can manage all your data in a single solution that combines in-memory performance with a large scale queryable data lake.
Advanced virtualisation capabilities combine with flexible data storage and process options to provide a single gateway to all enterprise data.
In the SAP HANA Cloud trial, you can test the SAP HANA database and the data lake services. The configuration of your SAP HANA Cloud database trial instance is 30GB of memory, 2vCPUs, and 120GB of storage. You can only have one database and one data lake instance (4vCPUs, 256GB of storage) in your SAP HANA Cloud trial account.
Each service within SAP HANA Cloud has its own minimal configuration. For the SAP HANA database, it’s 30GB memory and 120GB storage (with or without data). For the data lake, you have a minimum of 4 vCPUs and 1 TB storage on AWS or 4TB on Azure.
You gain secure access to on-premises data sources with SAP HANA smart data integration DP Agent. You can connect SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA database to on-premise databases using the Cloud Connector from the SAP Connectivity service
