On September 29, 2016, Samsung Electronics and SAP held the opening ceremony for a joint research center where engineers will conduct R&D for memory solutions to be used in next-generation in-memory computing. The establishment of the research center is part of an extended partnership between the two world-leading corporations, under which the two will focus on in-memory technology development that enables faster data processing and more insightful analyses of rapidly increasing amounts of data.

SAP Labs Korea is closely collaborating with prestigious universities in South Korea for cooperative projects and paper publications at international conferences such as SIGMOD and VLDB. In addition, collaboration with universities and research entities are driven by SAP Labs Korea Co-Innovation Center.
