As the aim is to use 3% of the existing
molds, EUR 114K saving is expected

This project is developed to enable stock
optimization during production and storage
processes, prevent unnecessary production
activities and maximize resource usage in the most
optimum way. Aim was to automate manual tasks
and use technology to bring efficiency into
production processes.
With the Image Processing technology via Vision
Transformer, product identification and similarity
analysis is enabled. Existing technical drawings of
each product is used to train the model, new coming
order details are quickly compared with the existing
products, similarity is checked, and the most
appropriate product is offered as per the outcome.
This process can be triggered via a web interface or
a mobile application which is also developed as part
of the project.
Incoming orders can quickly be checked with the
existing stock in hand, identification process is
improved in terms of manual labor and time spent,
automation is enabled.

IBSS R&D and Software Development team has been a part of this
project from the beginning, starting with analysing the data, proposing
the optimum solution, development of the infrastructure, incorporating AI
capabilities and developing the mobile application to run the product
efficiently.
In parallel to this initiative, with this project IBSS also applied to
TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey)
to get recognition for this project in the scientific platform as an R&D
program.

efficiency in production processes is a delicate subject as
incorporating technology to such processes needs to be done in a
balanced manner. With the evolving technology, replacing human
power wherever necessary and using the human knowledge in a
much more productive way is a challenge in terms of utilization,
employee motivation and financial perspective.
Sistem Aluminyum has a wide range of products which are very
similar in the technical drawings which is not easy to distinguish.
Also, the human power invested in the process can be time
consuming. Automation and simplification of order handling,
production, product categorization enables a much more efficient
organization and from financial perspective, with the automated
and improved processes, financial resource allocation can be
planned in a productive way.
