Southwest Gas faced operational inefficiencies due to outdated manual processes impacting critical functions: field worker qualification verification process and expense report validation. To address these challenges, Southwest Gas has leveraged SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) to implement two transformative solutions. Firstly, integrating SAP BTP with SAP SuccessFactors LMS enabled real-time worker qualification verification via QR code scans, streamlining inspections. Secondly, integrating SAP Integration Suite with SAP Concur automated receipt matching to job and worker data, accelerating expense report validations and approvals. These solutions significantly improved productivity by eliminating manual data entry, reduced inspection times, enhanced safety through immediate certification validation, and minimized service delays and compliance risks.
