Large maintenance events need detailed planning and close monitoring to ensure they are delivered on time and on cost. This is enabled through a suite of planning gantt charts and multiple update actions covering key maintenance planning objects in SAP S/4HANA.

Review overall scheduling of maintenance events
The Scheduling Board shows a high-level view of maintenance events (revisions) and work items (network activities and work orders) in a Gantt chart. The lower part of the chart displays a capacity planning view of work centers. Work items and capacities can be adjusted to avoid capacity overloads.
Review detailed planning of a single maintenance event
The Work Order Scheduling Board app shows an overview of network activities for a single maintenance event (revision). Future capacity overloads are visible in the capacity view and can be avoided by updating work items and capacities.
View future capacity load
Both apps have two options for modelling capacity load. Standard mode uses work order operation scheduling parameters, whereas Distributed mode schedules in accordance with the superior network activity. Planners can select the most appropriate mode for their operation.
