SAP Datasphere catalogue centralises all the data used by your organisation into a unified and governed experience, simplifying access to critical information for all users.
Click “Sales & Deliveries” to view this asset’s details.

Information about the asset is displayed, such as the metadata extracted from the source system, glossary terms, hierarchical tags, KPIs, and more.

Here, ‘Order Value FY’ and ‘Order Value Customer Meeting’ are listed as the key performance indicators (KPI) contained in this asset.
Click the ‘Lineage’ tab to view the Impact and Lineage Analysis diagram of this asset.
In the Lineage tab, you can see detailed information about the source of the data, the transformations it goes through, its final state, and other objects (such as stories) affected by changes made to it.
Since the asset is a SAP Analytics Cloud story, you see only the underlying data sources (lineage), displayed to the left of the ‘Sales & Deliveries’ object.
The Data Builder is where you model your data and the underlying relationships.
Here, you can prepare your data, define hierarchies, and create analytic models.
Click ‘Analytic Model Sales Deliveries All’ to view this analytic model.
In SAP Datasphere, analytic models harmonise data from different sources and expedite access to contextual, relevant business data for faster insights and decisions.
Here, you can see that this analytic model includes data from SAP and non-SAP sources.
Click the ‘Impact and Lineage Analysis diagram’ icon in the toolbar.
The Impact and Lineage Analysis diagram contains information about the source of the data, transformations, associations, data access controls, and objects affected.
You can browse the lineage interactively to view the relevant master data and original data context for full transparency.
Here, you can see the source tables and views of the analytic model coming from SAP and non-SAP sources.
Key performance indicators (KPI) measure progress towards a goal or objective.
Here, you can see the KPIs used within your organisation.
Click ‘Order Value FY’ to view its details.
Here, you can see details of the ‘Order Value FY’ including its description, thresholds, and other details.
Catalogue administrators can create new KPIs, set thresholds, manage relationships with other KPIs, and then publish new KPIs to the catalogue.
