Aeropuertos Argentina

Aeropuertos Argentina is the country’s leading airport operator and a key player in the national air transport system. The company manages 35 airports across Argentina, handling approximately 90% of the country’s commercial air traffic, with more than 43 million passengers and over 300,000 flights per year.

With a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and innovation, Aeropuertos Argentina operates complex, mission critical environments 24/7 and continuously invests in digital transformation to enhance efficiency, resilience, and passenger experience across its network.

At eight Patagonian airports, where inclement weather can disrupt safety, schedules, and costs in real time, we require operation mitigation, they moved from a manual, reactive approach to a proactive and intelligent one with their S.N.O.W. Agent on the SAP Business Technology Platform with Business AI. Integrating weather, operations, and maintenance data to automate decisions and orchestrate work in real time, the agent enables safer runways, faster responses, lower costs, and more sustainable, predictable seasonal operations at scale.

The opportunity

Managing complex winter operations across a distributed airport network

Each winter, Aeropuertos Argentina faces a high-stakes test: keeping runways safe and operations moving across multiple airports in the face of rapidly changing weather conditions. Snow and ice demand precise coordination between meteorology, operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams, but legacy processes relying on fragmented data and manual decisions caused slow response times, high costs, and increased risk. They needed a smarter, faster way to react—a solution that could unify data, automate decisions, and scale across airports. Built on SAP Business AI, the Smart Network for Operative Winter, or S.N.O.W. Agent, transformed winter operations into a proactive, orchestrated system that improves safety, speed, and resilience. This innovative application of SAP technology led to Aeropuertos Argentina winning the 2025 LATAM Customer Innovation Contest.

This solution empowers us to achieve something essential: guaranteeing safety where it matters most. While 99% of airports around the world still rely on pickup trucks and the limitations of the human eye, even in the harshest conditions, we chose to move forward. We chose to innovate. We chose to lead.

The solution

Streamlining seasonal operations with AI driven decision making

Bringing together real-time weather data, operational inputs, and SAP-native maintenance and supply chain processes, Aeropuertos Argentina’s S.N.O.W. Agent analyses conditions continuously, then automatically generates alerts, validates resource availability, and creates and releases work orders. All of this is tracked in real time through mobile-enabled workflows, ensuring teams stay aligned across airports. With AI embedded directly into existing SAP maintenance and supply chain systems, S.N.O.W. Agent ultimately enables faster, more consistent decisions during critical weather events, improving coordination, reducing manual effort, and strengthening safety and operational control.

Co-innovation partner speeds delivery

OSH Pro worked alongside Aeropuertos Argentina to turn a complex vision into a production-ready solution at speed. With deep SAP, AI, and industry expertise, the team co-designed the architecture, integrated systems, and helped align business and IT teams. Their agile, hands-on approach ensured S.N.O.W. Agent delivered measurable operational value the moment it was deployed.

Our goal is... to become a benchmark in the industry. And we will achieve it by continuing to innovate, to modernise, and to move forward together.
The result

Lower costs, saved effort

Aeropuertos Argentina recorded a 16% reduction in direct costs and 90% less administrative time thanks to AI-powered automation and streamlined workflows. The deployment has been so successful that S.N.O.W. Agent remains active year-round to keep Aeropuertos Argentina running smoothly regardless of season.

Safer, more reliable operations

Real-time visibility and full traceability improved runway availability and decision accuracy across the network. Due to the SAP solution’s reusable AI foundation, Aeropuertos Argentina can extend the model across airports and new use cases. This includes Foreign Object Debris (FOD) detection, wildlife monitoring, runway lighting supervision, perimeter security, and environmental and infrastructure monitoring.

Sustainable, scalable impact

By enabling a significant reduction in Aeropuerto Argentina’s carbon footprint, the S.N.O.W. Agent is directly supporting their corporate sustainability and decarbonisation goals.
