Founded in 1972 by five people working in their first client’s offices, SAP has grown into a global powerhouse of more than 100,000 employees supporting more than 460,000 customers across 140 countries. This is the story of how SAP created an industry and helped improve the world.

As an enabler and exemplar, SAP is committed to contributing to climate protection and has added the goal of planting 21 million trees by the end of 2025 to a comprehensive portfolio of measures.

To help celebrate our 50th anniversary, we want to support that goal. For every anniversary wish, we will plant a tree, with the goal of reaching 50,000 trees.

SAP and University of the People

Educate the leaders of tomorrow.

SAP is partnering with University of the People to provide 100 scholarships to refugees and displaced youth around the world. These scholarships will support 50 bachelor’s degrees in computer science or business administration and 50 associate degrees for students aged 18–30. University of the People is the first nonprofit, tuition-free, and American-accredited online university dedicated to providing access to higher education globally.
