The RISE with SAP Methodology encompasses a standardized framework, an integrated toolchain, and expert guidance to support your transition to the cloud. SAP Activate is the framework. It provides best practice and road map recommendations, guidelines, and checkpoints organized into six distinct phases.

The SAP Activate framework includes guidance that’s organized into six phases:

  1. Discover: Understand solution options and define the scope at a high level.
  2. Prepare: Finalize the project plan, set up the environment, and get the team aligned.
  3. Explore: Conduct fit-to-standard workshops and confirm the solution design.
  4. Realize: Configure, build, test, and validate the solution.
  5. Deploy: Cut over to the new system and transition to production.
  6. Run: Operate, support, and continuously optimize the solution.

 

SAP Activate provides a structured framework, comprehensive support, and valuable resources that guide organizations through each phase of their cloud adoption journey. This approach ensures that potential risks are identified and mitigated early, leading to a smoother and more predictable project outcome. Additionally, SAP Activate offers self-enablement resources, preconfigured business processes, fit-to-standard workshops, agile implementation cycles, and SAP Cloud ALM capabilities to further accelerate the process.

SAP Activate supports continuous adoption of new capabilities with minimal disruption through ready-to-run best practices that are updated regularly. The Run phase is also focused on supporting operations, optimizing processes, and enabling iterative improvements so teams can continuously innovate without needing a major reimplementation.

The road map viewer in SAP for Me is the main hub for project teams—as well as customers, partners, and registered users—to access implementation road maps, deliverables, tasks, and accelerators such as templates and guides.
