SAP Announces New AI Capabilities Across the Business Transformation Management Portfolio
SAP LeanIX Introduces New Features and Deeper Integrations to Drive Cloud Transformation
SAP LeanIX introduces expanded product capabilities and further integration across SAP solutions. These product updates help organizations build an IT architecture that supports their business transformation goals and gives IT leaders enhanced visibility into their application landscape.
New Features Help Streamline Technology Investments
General availability for the following capabilities is planned for Q3 2025:
The SAP LeanIX meta models serve as the blueprint for understanding the relationships among an organization’s strategy and technology components. They will be expanded with additional fields to help organizations evaluate the total cost of ownership (TCO) for their technology assets.
Enhanced dashboards and reporting will make it easier for executives to visualize the TCO of applications within their IT landscape.
Ability to adapt calculations enables adding and editing calculations associated with cost fields to help businesses make more precise portfolio management decisions.
Deeper Integration Across the SAP Portfolio
SAP LeanIX will enable increased transparency and collaboration across the SAP ecosystem. The new integrations will help accelerate and de-risk transformations and prepare organizations for continuous innovation. With greater visibility of the current state across their SaaS applications and process landscape, customers can better optimize their enterprise architecture to map their journey to SAP Business Suite, with the following new and enhanced integrations:
SAP Signavio integration for process hierarchy and variants, generally available Q2 2025
WalkMe solution integration for SaaS discovery and usage insights, generally available Q3 2025
SAP Cloud ALM integration for interface discovery, generally available Q3 2025
SAP BTP integration that enables the automatic discovery of extensions and services and provides increased transparency, generally available Q3 2025
New Features Help Maintain Standards and Minimize Risks
SAP LeanIX can now help organizations discover and track self-build software on software development platforms like GitHub. This provides enterprises with a more comprehensive view of the custom software components they have developed and identifies where and how custom code interacts across their IT landscape. This will enable companies to maintain a consistent overview and minimize associated risks, facilitating better management and oversight. The feature will be generally available by the end of Q2 2025.
SAP Introduces New WalkMe Digital Learning Solution and SAP Business Suite Integration
SAP announces an AI-assisted, contextual digital learning platform that will be part of the WalkMe portfolio. This solution will be integrated with SAP Business Suite, providing in-app guidance to help IT professionals navigate complex software tasks in real time.
AI-Assisted Digital Learning Solution Will Bridge the Gap Between Knowledge and Action
Available by the end of 2025, this innovation enables customers to smoothly integrate WalkMe solutions into employees’ workflows, delivering intelligent, adaptive learning experiences when and where users need them.
