SAP Quality Awards for Customer Success

Regional judges in Europe, Middle East and Africa

In Europe, Middle East and Africa all Market Unit winners automatically enter the regional SAP Quality Awards for Customer Success competition. For each of the award categories, a judging panel consisting of three independent judges, including IT Thought Leaders, Analysts, SAP User Group board members and previous year’s Quality Awards winners will select the winners for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The date of the next regional SAP Quality Awards for Customer Success is yet to be determined.

SAP Program Manager, Atlas Copco, Belgium

Agnes is responsible for the Cloud for Customer Program, which is rolled out worldwide in Atlas Copco and won a Gold SAP Quality Award at the EMEA level in 2018.

Ahmed AbdelSattar
Digital Transformation Advisor, Qalaa Holdings, Egypt

In 2021, Ahmed was named as CIO of the year by IDC MENA. Today, Ahmed is an entrepreneur launching a startup, and he is also the Digital Transformation Advisor to Qalaa Holdings Executive Chairman. Until November 2021, Ahmed was the Group Chief Information & Innovation Officer for Qalaa Holdings. Prior to joining Qalaa Holdings in 2014, Ahmed held numerous leadership positions at Raya Group's Information Technology and Consulting Services, culminating in his appointment as CEO of Raya International Services business unit in 2009. 

Ahmed's long career with Raya began in 1993 and included serving as Chief Operations Officer at Raya IT, Director of Professional Services, General Manager of Strategic Projects, General Manager of Oratech, and as General Manager of International Operations. Ahmed holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Maastricht School of Management.

Alan Brouard
Director of Information Technology, Etihad Rail, United Arab Emirates

Alan Brouard is the Director of Information Technology for Etihad Rail, and based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He has nearly 40 years of varied business experiences, of which the last 25 years have been dedicated to delivering large scale ERP environments – predominantly with SAP solutions – and readying organizations for digital transformation. Alan has also held executive IT positions at the Olayan Saudi Holdings Company, the Engineering Office of HH Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Dubai), Dubai International Financial Centre (Dubai), Mercedes Benz (South Africa and Germany) and SAP (South Africa), to name a few.

Alan has been an active panel judge for the MENA SAP Quality Awards for the past 6 years, evaluating customer implementations in the Innovation and Business Transformation categories. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Durban Institute of Technology, South Africa.

Bernard Bossuyt
ICT manager at Joris Ide and Board Member of the Belgian SAP user group, Belgium

Bernard Bossuyt is ICT Director of Joris Ide division from Kingspan,  which focuses on sustainable building solutions. Bernard is Board Member of the Belgian SAP user group and is co-leader of the Business Intelligence Work Group. 

Bernard has a supply chain background as he started his career in manufacturing planning in steel and wood industry. In a career spanning 30 years, Bernard has managed in different roles many successful SAP projects in a pan-European geography in various industries including steel and wood building, FMCG, pharmaceuticals and logistics service providers. 

As project and program manager with SAP Belgium, he was in the lead of business transformation programs in the area of GTS, BI and project planning. In his role as ICT director with Joris Ide he recently migrated the SAP ERP landscape to SAP S/4HANA, with BW4H, SAC, Business Objects, MII, Fiori, FSCM and solution manager already in place. He is now involved in SAP HANA Cloud Platform projects for mobile applications on Fiori, and rolling out SAP to recent acquisitions in Europe. 

Referenced on various innovative implementations, Bernard participated in many SAP Quality Awards programs as jury member both at the national and regional level. Bernard studied Commercial Engineer at University of Leuven and is a APICS and PMI certified project manager.

Christian Raum
Chief Editor for S@PPORT, Germany

Christian Raum works as chief editor for S@PPORT, Germany’s number one independent SAP magazine covering ERP, AI, CX, and the business impact of future technologies. He is experienced in all aspects of IT, ERP, and B-to-B business. 

Christian started his career in the German Parliament, where he worked for the former East German citizens right movement inside their political communication department. Later he changed to journalism and covers IT topics such as cyber security, the automotive industry, manufacturing, cloud computing, car IT and global IT networks, energy management, digital transformation, customer experience. He also works for the consulting firm IIW Institute of Information Management and Technology. As member of the management team, Christian Raum is responsible for trends in high-tech industry and future technology.

Inge Opreel
CIO at Farys, Belgium

As CIO of Farys, Inge is responsible for developing the ICT vision and strategy and the IT roadmap. She ensures the business-IT alignment, oversees the execution of the roadmap and has played a key role in enabling digitization within the company’s operations. Inge is also responsible for translating the business strategy into an ICT based programme and executes this with her team to achieve the companies’ goals, enabling innovation and transformation. 

Inge is driven by challenges, thinking out-of-the-box, and collaboration. Her focus lies in preparing Farys for growth, expansion and innovation. She is responsible for ICT within Synductis and within the partnership of Flemish water companies for implementing a smart water platform.

Louisa Porter
Digital HR Manager at Tata Steel, United Kingdom

Louisa has worked in the steel industry for almost 30 years. with a focus on human resources IT and earlier roles in logistics, commercial and information technology. She is also a Business Excellence assessor for Tata Group companies, and has assessed quality maturity in Europe, India, and Singapore.

Louisa is the HR owner for SAP SuccessFactors at Tata Steel and the 2016 Gold award winner for EMEA. This is her fourth time as an SAP Quality Awards judge. Passionate and driven both in and out of work, she enjoys an active life supporting her local community and is an advocate for improving health and well-being, promoting the importance of work-life balance and a healthy lifestyle.  A dog owner, marathon runner and casual cyclist, when not sitting at a computer, Louisa spends a lot of her time enjoying the great outdoors and (Covid-travel permitting) is planning to join a trek to Everest Base Camp next year.

Ramanathan Nagarajan
ICT Planning and Development Manager, AlMansoori Petroleum Services, United Arab Emirates

Naga is a mission-oriented professional with thirty-eight years of extensive domain and SAP implementation expertise. He has specialized in business transformation through ERP implementation in complex, medium-sized organizations across multiple business verticals, including manufacturing (electronics processing and assembly, and textiles), trading (FMCG, food and pharmaceutical), construction, and oil and gas services. 

As a client-side program manager, Naga leads the complete project life cycle, right from strategizing, executing the project, assuring quality and achieving targeted business benefits. Naga has successfully managed several implementations, which have won the SAP Quality Awards both in MENA and EMEA regions. He is an Engineer with an MBA in Project Management and PMP.  Naga has been part of the SAP Quality Awards Judging Panel of MENA & EMEA for seven years.  

Reidun Høllesli
Senior Vice President Projects, CIO Office, Orkla, Norway

Reidun Høllesli joined the Orkla Group, a leading supplier of branded consumer goods to the grocery, out-of home, specialized retail, pharmacy and bakery sectors, in 2011. She is Senior Vice President Project at the CIO Office supporting the group with project management and advises their IT projects. 

The Nordic and Baltic regions and selected countries in Central Europe are Orkla’s main markets, and they also hold strong positions in selected product categories in India. Reidun has held several roles since she joined the group, all of them related to SAP and/or projects. She has worked with program and project management in several ERP program and projects as part of project steering committees and line management positions. In 2013, Reidun was the IT project owner when Orkla won the Nordic award and EMEA regional award in the Innovation category. Before joining Orkla, Reidun worked at IBM for 13 years.

Sajan Nair
Group IT Director, SPIMACO, Saudi Arabia

Sajan is Group IT Director for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East, involved in the development, manufacturing and sale of pharmaceutical products and medical appliances. With over thirty years of experience in construction, manufacturing, trading and retail industries, he is a speaker at SAP and Google events and a sought-after executive level manager. Sajan's projects have won the SAP Quality Award three times within the SAP HANA Innovation, Fast Delivery and Cloud Innovation categories for EMEA and MENA. 

Always seeking optimization within the workplace, Sajan is a transformational leader with accolades that speak of his commitment to innovation: in 2019, he won the Gitex 2019 award for the best technical collaboration in retail with SAP, and in 2020, his projects won the IDC award for digital transformation in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, Google published a case study on his work implementing Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform in the Middle East, representing him as one of the pioneers of IT in the region. Sajan has been commended for building IT departments, systems and processes from the ground up, saving companies millions of dollars in expenses. He has been a member of the SAP Quality Award EMEA and MENA judging panels since 2015.

Saji Ooomen
Chief Information Officer for RAK Ceramics, United Arab Emirates

As Chief Information Officer for RAK Ceramics, Saji leads a team of professionals at different global locations to support company operations. Saji has more than 22 years of experience with SAP applications and has won multiple SAP quality awards in the past. Saji was director of SAP Users Group Middle East and North Africa for over 15 years.

RAK Ceramics is one of the largest ceramics’ brands in the world. Specializing in ceramic tiles, tableware, sanitaryware and faucets, the RAK Ceramics is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates and serves clients in more than 150 countries. Across our global operations, they employ approximately 12,000 staff at 21 state-of-the-art plants and offices.

 

Tanveer Saleem
IT Leader, United Energy, Pakistan

With an enriching experience of more than 26 years from organizations like Unilever, Engro, National Foods, and Shan Foods, Tanveer’s expertise lies in driving and delivering strategic and impactful transformation programs. He excels in utilizing the potential of IT and process re-engineering to execute IT driven business-led innovations. Coaching, leadership interventions, incisive analysis and strong entrepreneurial drive are his key strengths. “I coach, as I love magic," says Tanveer. "To me, 'transformation' is magic.” 

Tanveer is currently imparting IT Leadership at UEP crafting out IT Vision and Strategic agenda aligned with business growth ambitions. For two consecutive years in December 2020 and Oct 2021, he was recognized and awarded as ‘Legend’ for transformative technology leadership representing Pakistan in a Global CIO Forum. Additionally, as a seed accelerator, he is a passionate supporter of the early-stage, growth-driven startup companies through education, connections, mentorship, and seed investment to accelerate their growth. 

 

Torben Iversen
Bid Excellence Executive, KMD, Denmark

Torben Iversen is Bid Excellence Executive at KMD, which is the largest IT company in Denmark with more than 3,000 employees. KMD is privately owned and serves the local government, central government, regional and private sectors with IT-solutions. Torben has a Finance and IT background and has previously been employed as partner and management consultant for the Nordic independent ERP advisory company Herbert Nathan & Co, PwC Consulting, and PA Consulting Group. He has worked with project management, quality assurance and implementation of ERP systems for more than 20 years. 

Torben's involvement in a large number of SAP projects covers both the private and public sector, where he has assisted companies in all phases of the project - before acquisition, during implementation and in operation. He has served in a quality advisory role for SAP implementations at many Nordic companies and has a long history of working with SAP. Torben has been judging the SAP Quality Awards in the Nordic and Baltic countries for several years and has also participated in the Judging Panel for SAP Quality Awards in EMEA. 

Wayne Johncock
CEO and founder of SALACA, United Kingdom

Wayne is CEO and founder of SALACA, a management consultancy company with special interests in innovation and emerging technologies. While his speciality is in the Utilities and Energy sectors – advising some of the largest companies in the sector globally on strategy and technology roadmaps, he has also advised large companies in the transport, retail and manufacturing industries. 

Most recently, Wayne has been advising RS-Components in the UK, an online technology retailer in the Retail sector, on driving value out of its SAP product and service suite.  Before this assignment he was the Technology Director at Thames Water, leading the B2B sector of the UK water market into deregulation. Previously an executive at Centrica and British Gas (the largest utility in the UK), he has worked and lived in 9 countries over 20 years with his family, delivering large transformation programs. 

Wayne sat on the ACCU (Advisory Customer Council for Utilities) for five years representing Centrica, the SAP council for the 20 largest utilities in the world. Wayne has judged the awards since 2013, covering each category in this time.  Following the recent retirement of two of the long-standing judges, he is currently the longest serving member of the panel.

His interests include sports and education for disadvantaged groups in the areas of numeracy and literacy. His next digital venture is based on creating employment for people to help others learn, “Changing the way the world lives, learns and works.”
