Our new office on the banks of the Danube is home to a growing team of 1,200 colleagues, representing five board areas, working on innovative projects with colleagues around the globe. Our teams have expertise on the full development lifecycle, from development through maintenance into product support and cloud operations.
Together, we create software that helps the world run better and improves peoples’ lives
As one of SAP's key R&D centers, SAP Labs Hungary deals with complex product development and international product support.
What are we working on together?
SAP Hungary is home to a number of lines of business that cover a variety of functions.
This team makes the magic happen. SAP developers work shoulder to shoulder with other top engineering talent to design, implement, and maintain the modules and features of the SAP product line – including architecture, applications, and solutions.
SAP Digital Supply Chain
The SAP Digital Supply Chain team works on SAP Integrated Business Planning, a real-time supply chain management solution. Powered by in-memory computing technology within SAP HANA, this cloud-based product combines capabilities for sales and operations; demand, response, and supply planning; and inventory optimization.
SAP Product Lifecycle Management
SAP Product Lifecycle Management focuses on process industries, an end-to-end product development solution for food, chemical and consumer products. It is the single source of truth for product data that helps formulate products desired by consumers while it helps to reduce overall production and material costs. It leverages and reuses existing intellectual knowledge that brings efficiency in product development. Our goal is to create the next generation cloud solution, beginning with on-top cloud-based extensions.
SAP Globalization Services
Globalization Services Budapest team works on SAP’s cloud and classical (on-premise) Human Capital Management solution. This means especially SAP’s payroll solutions as part of HCM. There are colleagues at Globalization Services who work on innovation and user assistance topics related to other products.
People like to own individual products - products that are specially tailored for them, products that fulfill their special needs, products that are unique. Our team’s mission is to develop a user-friendly and state-of-the-art configurator in SAP S/4HANA. This will allow customers to handle the complexity of individual products throughout their complete lifecycle.
Application Innovation Services
Application Innovation Services (AIS) is a service department at SAP. The primary task of the team is to provide maintenance and support for on-premise SAP Applications to our customers. Additionally, AIS provides Expert-on Demand services, both to our customers and internally; drives and participates in quality improvement projects; helps de-escalate critical customers by providing expertise remotely and onsite; and participates in development activities of new functionality or quality improvements.
Global Support Centers
Ten global support centers (GSCs), one of them in Budapest, provide first class support for customers around the world. From incident handling to knowledge management, support engineers use their skills and expertise to solve and prevent problems for customers across all SAP products. Our mission is to provide industry-leading support anytime, anywhere, and on any channel. Our goal is to deliver the next generation of support for the Intelligent Enterprise.
The cloud delivery teams run SAP’s cloud solutions 24x7 and provide the perfect customer experience by applying continuous innovation and continuous delivery principles, the current standard of DevOps engineering. Combining engineering tasks and customer-related activities, whether it is a quarterly upgrade, weekend patching, landscape monitoring, or customer service request delivery, there is never a dull day. It’s a great place to learn about SAP’s strategic products, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain, and more.
The team developing SAP Concur solutions imagines the way the world should work, offering cloud-based services that make it simple to manage travel and expenses. By connecting data, applications, and people, SAP Concur delivers an effortless experience and total transparency into spending wherever and whenever it happens, so businesses can focus on what matters most.
Sales, consulting, and corporate functions
The sales, consulting, and corporate teams are responsible for all local sales, ecosystem, and channels activities to further strengthen SAP’s go-to-market approach by fostering customer relationships and accelerating value delivery. Day-to-day, they could be selling, implementing, or upgrading our products. Our Hungarian teams work with major customers such as MOL, MVM, Hungarian Post, OTP, utility companies, the Hungarian State, and many more.
