SVP Worldwide is one of the most prolific sewing machine manufacturers in the world. The company’s iconic SINGER® brand has been operating since 1851 and reaches consumers in over 180 countries. The company prides itself on creating practical designs and innovative creations for its consumers. During the pandemic, SVP Worldwide experienced a huge uptick in users as many chose to pick up creative hobbies while in confinement—sewing being one of them. To keep up with demand, SVP Worldwide had to shift their business strategy quickly, which revealed the need for operational improvements.
After preliminary discussions, it became clear that SVP Worldwide was ready for an ERP that would help them future-proof their business and always be ready to consume the latest innovations. In October 2023, the SAP sales team and the implementation partner (GyanSys) went through the digital discovery assessment—SAP’s free tool to evaluate a customer’s cloud ERP needs—and established that SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition was the right choice for SVP Worldwide’s growing business. In March 2024, they kicked off the implementation with GyanSys, and in August 2024, SVP Worldwide went live with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
