When manual inventory and customer order management processes could not keep pace with Boston Scientific’s growing business in Mexico and Colombia, it needed to digitally transform. The goal was to find a comprehensive industry cloud solution that could be fully integrated into its existing ERP system and database.

 

Boston Scientific adopted SmartConsignment and SmartOrders technology from FactR Limited. The privately hosted, cloud-based industry cloud solutions fully integrate with SAP S/4HANA to optimize supply chain operations in Mexico and Colombia and to automate the order-to-cash process.

 

Now, more than 5,000 patients and 56 customer accounts are being managed using the new platform. Inventory has been reduced by 25% and inventory status is now available in real time. Plus, with 50% more time to spend with patients, customer loyalty is up 35%. Going forward, Boston Scientific plans to expand the use of its industry cloud solutions to five more countries in Latin America. It also looks to improve forecasting and develop new enhancements until it has an entirely touchless supply chain.
