SAP Commerce Cloud is a digital commerce platform offering a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model in the public cloud. Customers extend and build their own environment on top of the SAP Commerce Cloud core codbase to achieve the desired e-commerce solution. All solutions run within the dedicated hyperscaler subscription of each customer. Customers can perform several self-service tasks through Cloud Portal.

The SOC 1 Type 1 is specifically intended to meet the needs of entities that use service organizations (user entities) and the CPAs that audit the user entities’ financial statements (user auditors), in evaluating the effect of the controls at the service organization on the user entities’ financial statements. The SOC 1 Type 1 report reports on the fairness of the presentation of management’s description of the service organization’s system and the suitability of the design of the controls to achieve the related control objectives included in the description as of a specified date (31 October 2021).

The use of these reports is restricted. A copy of this report is available for all SAP Commerce Cloud customers who had productive and had financially-relevant systems during the audit period covered by the report.
