New Joule Agents Automate Core Finance Functions
SAP is introducing two new Joule Agents that will help automate specific, time-consuming tasks within finance departments. They will enable professionals to focus on strategic analysis by facilitating faster, more informed decisions, increasing financial resilience, and allowing employees to concentrate on more strategic work.
- Cash Management Agent: Analyses daily bank statements and acts to automate reconciliation tasks, identify potential cash shortfalls and surpluses, and suggest optimisations. SAP research using customer data estimates that this agent can help save finance professionals up to 70 per cent of the time spent on manual reconciliation. General availability is planned for Q1 2026.
- International Trade Classification Agent: Assesses product characteristics and trade regulations and acts to classify goods for international shipping, recommending customs tariff numbers and commodity codes. This agent will help ensure compliance with global trade regulations and reduce the risk of manual errors with robust governance and a clear, audit-ready decision-making process. A beta version will be available in December 2025 and the solution is expected to be generally available in 2026.
These Joule Agents will help improve user experience, enhance compliance, and move towards automating routine finance processes. Building on the Joule Agents for finance released at the SAP Sapphire event in 2025 (including the Accounting Accruals Agent), these latest announcements demonstrate SAP's commitment to delivering AI innovation to the office of the CFO.
Spend Management

New AI Capabilities Added to SAP Ariba Solutions for Source-to-Pay
SAP is launching the next generation of its SAP Ariba solutions for source-to-pay. New capabilities will help procurement professionals improve cost savings, ensure compliance, and build supply chain resilience by automating and supporting key processes such as purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, contracts, and invoicing. SAP Ariba solutions are now built on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), making it easier to integrate them with SAP Business Suite, the SAP ERP application, and third-party ERP systems using open APIs.
The forthcoming release introduces several key capabilities:
- A new, simplified user experience through a central SAP Ariba launchpad will provide clear navigation, tasks to be completed, and insights.

These updates will be generally available in February 2026, with incremental updates throughout the year.
New Skills-Based Hiring Feature for SAP Fieldglass
SAP announced new AI enhancements to the SAP Fieldglass portfolio that make it easier to match potential contractors with available positions by automatically analysing role descriptions to determine the skills required for each position. SAP estimates that this can reduce the time taken to source potential candidates by up to 50 per cent, enabling teams to focus on strategic tasks, including skills-based recruitment, and reducing unconscious bias. The new capability works in conjunction with existing AI features in the portfolio — including CV analysis and job description creation — to provide a faster, more cohesive and efficient recruitment process.
This feature is now generally available.
New Joule Agent and Generative AI Capabilities Simplify Key Procurement Processes in SAP Ariba
SAP continues to incorporate agentic and generative AI capabilities across its source-to-pay solutions, helping customers optimise productivity and decision-making at scale — an approach aligned with market trends. A recent Economist Impact study, sponsored by SAP, found that procurement professionals are embracing AI, with 89 per cent of respondents expressing confidence in their ability to leverage AI for efficiency and productivity gains.
SAP has introduced a new Joule Agent for bid analysis that can automatically compare supplier bid data, including total cost — taking into account unit prices, shipping, and payment terms. This tool will highlight trade-offs and insights often missed during manual processes, giving procurement teams immediate access to critical information.
General availability for the Bid Analysis Agent is scheduled for release in Q1 2026.
SAP has also added three AI features to its SAP Ariba Procurement portfolio:
- AI supplier response summary: Joule, SAP’s AI copilot, will help review, analyse, and summarise supplier responses to questionnaires. Consolidating information in one place will help procurement specialists make more informed decisions regarding category management, sourcing, and contracting. This feature will be generally available in Q1 2026.
- Joule for simplified invoice creation: Joule will help employees outside accounts payable to easily submit invoices from SAP Cloud ERP solutions for processing with minimal input. Integrating Joule-driven invoice creation and the procure-to-pay process will speed up invoice processing and supplier payments. This feature will be generally available in Q4 2025.
- Intelligent contracting: Joule will automatically extract key information, generate summaries, and search historical contracts for discrepancies and compliance issues. The new feature will help reduce manual effort and contract review time, and support contract negotiations. This feature will be generally available in Q4 2025.
SAP Concur Launches Next Wave of AI Innovation for Travel and Expenses
SAP announced new AI capabilities that will make it quicker and easier for SAP Concur solution users to book budget- and policy-compliant business trips and submit accurate, complete expense reports. These advancements will streamline time-consuming processes, minimise manual effort, and enhance financial safeguards against expense fraud.
The Receipt Analysis Agent, a newly embedded Joule Agent in ExpenseIt (an AI-enabled solution in Concur Expense that creates expense entries from pictures of receipts), will go beyond basic receipt scanning by identifying and automatically completing missing information. This agent will transform expense workflows by utilising multiple tools — including maps, supplier databases, web searches, and trip itineraries from the Concur Travel solution — to fill critical gaps in expense entries, determine appropriate expense types, and verify supplier details, even for previously unknown suppliers. Most importantly, the Receipt Analysis Agent will provide accurate results immediately without the need for iterative learning.
General availability of these features is expected in Q4 2025.
SAP Concur is also introducing new capabilities that will help identify potentially fraudulent receipts created by generative AI and streamline budget estimation for business travel:
- AI-generated receipt checker: Verify, the automated expense-audit service from SAP Concur, now inspects receipt images, including metadata, to identify receipts likely created by AI or online generators, and flags them for review. This new capability helps auditors safeguard against fraudulent expenses. The service is currently generally available.
- Pre-spend planner: Generative AI will help users more easily estimate budget requirements based on their travel plans and company policies, such as daily allowances and airfare class restrictions. The new tool will also keep travellers informed about relevant travel advisories, including airport strikes and natural disasters, helping to ensure they are well-prepared for their journey. It will also make sharing travel cost estimates with managers easier. General availability is planned for early 2026 and Concur Expense customers can take advantage of the pre-spend planner at no additional cost. It will be available to Concur Travel customers later in the first half of 2026.
SAP Concur and Uber for Business Simplify Ride and Meal Expense Reporting
Integration for Uber for Business and Concur Expense has been updated to further automate how journey and meal expenses are processed. The system now automatically sends ride and meal receipts to Concur Expense, extracts relevant details, and improves expense matching. New features include automatic itemisation of taxes and fees, automatic inclusion of tips in original receipts, and automatic routing to the correct expense categories, such as journeys and meals. The result is cleaner data, fewer manual corrections, and faster reimbursements, benefiting both travel managers and travellers. This update also provides greater visibility for executives and business users, helping them manage travel expenditure while remaining compliant.
This update is generally available.
SAP Concur and Amex GBT Announce Strategic Alliance for a New Era of Business Travel and Expenses
SAP Concur is announcing a strategic alliance with American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) and launching Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT. This jointly developed solution will combine booking, servicing, payments and expenses into a single experience with AI at its core. Complete will benefit from each entity’s technology and business travel expertise. Complete customers will also have access to Amex GBT’s unrivalled marketplace, software and services via Complete, offering greater incentives and cost savings.

An intelligent impact analysis capability will help manage upstream supply chain risks and disruptions, and both external and internal supply chain signals will be contextualised into prioritised actions. The solution will also provide multi-tier supply chain insights that extend beyond traditional boundaries.
Built on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Supply Chain Orchestration can leverage data from SAP Business Network and the SAP Business Data Cloud solution — expanding insights across every tier of the supply chain.
A significant part of this new offering, SAP Business Network will help identify potential exposures in supply chains, contextualise risks, and provide notifications about which suppliers, materials, or orders could be affected. AI-native decision-making will trigger appropriate actions across all supply chain domains — such as planning, logistics, procurement, and manufacturing — to resolve or mitigate identified disruptions. An analysis conducted after the event will help enhance risk and compliance management intelligence for future disruptions.
By centrally managing the moving parts of a supply chain across people, processes, systems, and partners, organisations can help ensure that goods, information, and finances flow smoothly from suppliers to customers, while also increasing visibility, driving efficiency and compliance, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
General availability is planned for the first half of 2026.

The solution will be generally available in February 2026.
SAP Customer Loyalty Management Links Loyalty to Business Outcomes
SAP introduces SAP Customer Loyalty Management, a solution that will help organisations foster customer loyalty, resulting in the development of long-term relationships that lead to business growth. The solution will capture customer data and loyalty engagement in a cloud-based wallet that serves as a “loyalty profile” for analysis. These profiles will help loyalty programme architects understand individual customer motivations and enhance segmentation and targeted marketing processes.
Additionally, the solution will support multiple loyalty models — including points-based programmes, segmented offers, personalised rewards, and engagement incentives — through a unified interface. This flexibility will enable teams to manage partner-coalition programmes and tailor rewards for specific customer segments. With a single loyalty system, organisations can design promotions more efficiently, driving more personalised and competitive offers, resulting in deeper, long-lasting customer engagement.
Integration with SAP Cloud ERP Private solutions and SAP Business Suite will provide visibility into loyalty-related financial metrics, helping to guide future investments in effective loyalty programmes.
