SAP allows me to combine my passion of education for all with my work, and that definitely makes me feel that I am contributing to making the world run better.
At SAP, we see the impact and power technology has on making a difference in peoples’ professional and private lives. SAP is not only at the forefront of innovation, but also provides opportunities for employees to serve and give back to their local communities.
Meet Maggie Ramaiah, current VP of the SAP Academy and a huge proponent of being able to impact people’s lives in a positive way. With the help of the SAP mobility team, Maggie was able to relocate from India to Malaysia and then to America. She is an out-of-the box thinker and can speak five Indian languages along with English. Her two big passions are people and education. She combines both to produce amazing results. After 20 years in the field, working with customers, she transitioned to her role at the SAP Academy, where she shares her experiences with the next generation SAP and provides them with lifelong skills.
Maggie shares this intense desire to educate and give back to others with her fellow colleague Ivan Aguilar, who focuses on the presales program at the SAP Academy. They both share the same goal of ensuring the next generation is well-equipped and well-informed to be successful at SAP. Although they do not work in the same team, they both strive to connect with their students on a deeper level and ultimately want to see them grow and flourish. Due to COVID-19, Maggie and Ivan were able to dynamically work together and create a fun community, where they provide interactive bonding activities for their students in a virtual environment. Together, they both promote “shaping young minds to work in teams yet keeping their uniqueness and originality,” said Maggie.
Beyond work, Maggie is an avid kickboxer and karate master and as a coach and mentor her life goal is to set up her own non-profit organization to support education for all children in India.
“To serve the world, you don’t need to wait to do big things, every small thing that you can do matters. SAP makes me want to get up and come to work every day because at SAP I can be myself and pursue my dream, passion and share my thoughts.”
Meet Ivan Aguilar, one of Maggie's colleagues at the SAP Academy, who shares the common goal of supporting early talent to succeed in a sales career with SAP.
