Use Open APIs with SAP and a low code approach
Our RESTful Adapter adapter enables you to use Open APIs with SAP Integration Suite / SAP Process Orchestration with an extrem simplified development approach. It features the same set of capabilities as our existing RESTful adapter can work as full featured Open API client or server. This works from existing Open API definitions as well as for re-using existing ESR interfaces.

Overview
Lower total cost of ownership and fast development
The adapter uses a message format approach for APIs, which is very quick to implement service end-2-end with a SAP backend or even just for custom integrations without the need for deep developer know how. Open API is the standard used by most developers worldwide. Our solution lowers the barrier to fit into existing API management and practices with a SAP landscape.
Re-use your existing investments into ESR
Save existing investments of services you built with ESR over the years! Any service interface can be automatically exposed within seconds as Integrated Configurations or Iflows in SAP Process Orchestration or SAP Integration Suite. A default version of the service can be customized with more RESTful elements in minutes
Save existing investments with forward migration path to SAP Integration Suite
The adapter allows the minimal migration effort as the logic is capsulated in message formats and not heavy customizing or developmen objects like java mappings, adapter modules or channel configuration. It's all in the message format that can be ported 1:1 to SAP Integration Suite along all existing SAP Process Orchestration objects like mappings, ABAP Proxies

Features
Publish Open APIs from definitions or existing service interfaces
The adapter allows you to publish an Open API in minutes from an existing Open API definition (Top Down) or an existing ESR interface (Bottom up) without deep developer know how about security options, query, header or json formats. An Open API can be directly implemented as ABAP Proxy.

Consume APIs with OpenAPI standard
Build OpenAPI integrations in minutes by simply generating all necessary content as service interface or as ABAP Proxy. No extensive manual developer work or know how necessary for status codes, schemas, JSON array and objects, paths, headers, query parameters with custom Java or groovy logic.

Use enhanced security mechanisms
Use NTLMv, custom tokens, API keys or customized Oauth2/JWT with internet or On premise connection. Integration with external IDM (Identity management solutions) possible with JWT.
