What do you like best about the product?
The interface is more approachable than you'd expect from an enterprise tool. Visual representations are powerful enough that even someone unfamiliar with process mapping can understand what's on screen, and the drag-and-drop modeling feels natural once you settle in. That said, navigation between process levels isn't always smooth, and reporting takes extra effort to customize so first-timers should expect a ramp-up period before things feel intuitive.
If you're in the SAP world, integrations feel almost native. It connects well with SAP products like LeanIX, S/4HANA, and Signavio Intelligence, and also reaches into non-SAP tools like Salesforce, which covers most enterprise needs. Outside the SAP ecosystem though, integration with non-SAP systems still needs improvement, and setting up external connections can be more effort than it should be....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Signavio, our processes lived everywhere emails, outdated Word docs, people's heads. There was no single place to go to understand how something actually worked, and every time someone left the team, institutional knowledge walked out with them. Signavio gave us a single source of truth for process documentation, ensuring uniform understanding across teams without assumptions. Now when someone asks "how does this process work," there's an actual answer not five different versions of it.
This was probably the most eye-opening shift. We had beautifully documented "to-be" processes that looked great on paper but had little to do with reality. Through process mining, Signavio surfaces how processes are actually being executed in our systems mapping real process flows and uncovering insights we simply didn't have before. We struggled with blind spots in our operations, but now we can see exactly where delays happen, where compliance breaks down, and where the real bottlenecks are. That visibility alone has changed how we prioritize improvement efforts.
We use Signavio to model our as-is processes, review them against process insights, and then model the to-be state which directly helps the business compare current efficiency against the target and drive transformation. Previously this kind of analysis took weeks of workshops and manual documentation. Now the cycle is significantly shorter, and the output is far more reliable because it's grounded in actual system data rather than stakeholder memory.
Getting business and IT to agree on anything used to feel like a negotiation exercise. Signavio's Collaboration Hub changed that dynamic. There's a notable improvement in process transparency and collaboration, facilitating process understanding across departments. Teams that used to work in isolation now comment, review, and approve process models in a shared space. The result is fewer misalignments, faster sign-offs, and a genuine culture shift toward shared ownership of process quality.
For those of us on an S/4HANA journey, Signavio has been particularly valuable. We've used it to optimize our SAP ECC to RISE migration, ensuring clean core compliance while also driving benefits like working capital optimization and collections improvement. Having process clarity before going live on a new ERP reduces the risk of carrying bad processes into a new system something that's bitten a lot of organizations in the past. Signavio helped us go in with our eyes open.
The benefits aren't just qualitative. By leveraging the AI-assisted process modeler, the time it takes to collect inputs and create or update hundreds of process models can be reduced significantly time that teams can redirect toward analysis and improvement rather than documentation busywork. For us, that's translated into faster project delivery cycles, fewer rework loops, and stakeholders who actually trust the process documentation they're looking at which, frankly, was never the case before.
