The Introduction

Satya Nadella is Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft. Before being named CEO in February 2014, Nadella held leadership roles in both enterprise and consumer businesses across the company. Joining Microsoft in 1992, he quickly became known as a leader who could span a breadth of technologies and businesses to transform some of Microsoft’s biggest product offerings. Most recently, Nadella was executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group. In this role he led the transformation to the cloud infrastructure and services business, which outperformed the market and took share from competition. Previously, Nadella led R&D for the Online Services Division and was vice president of the Microsoft Business Division. Before joining Microsoft, Nadella was a member of the technology staff at Sun Microsystems. Originally from Hyderabad, India, Nadella lives in Bellevue, Washington. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mangalore University, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. Nadella serves on the board of trustees to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and his alma mater the University of Chicago, as well as the Starbucks board of directors. He is married and has three children. 

Dr. Roland Busch is Deputy CEO of Siemens, a technology company that focuses on the backbone of economies: manufacturing, infrastructure, transport and healthcare. He joined Siemens because he is passionate about applying technology to solve the world’s biggest challenges. From more agile factories to intelligent buildings and grids, to sustainable transportation and better healthcare, Siemens technologies transform the everyday. Roland’s nearly three decades at Siemens span industries and regions - from automotive supply to the Internet of Things, from Erlangen to Shanghai. He studied physics at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany – where he also received his doctorate – and at the University of Grenoble in France.

Jodi Monelle is Founder and CEO of the leading plant based media company, LIVEKINDLY. Jodi is focused on empowering people to make positive changes - big or small - in their own lives and show how their daily actions make a difference in the world. Prior to founding LIVEKINDLY, Jodi held positions across the media and technology sectors. Jodi is a board member of the Plant Based World Conference & Expo. 

Kees is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the LIVEKINDLY co., a former Unilever senior executive, who lived and worked across all five continents from Europe to South Africa, from China to Brazil, from the USA back to London. In the last eight years he was part of the global Unilever executive team. He currently also serves as the Chairman of Enactus and Mr. Green Africa, a Nairobi-based recycling start-up. Kees has five daughters and lives in Europe.
