Moving forward, customers can leverage SAP Build's unified offering, that combines application development, process automation, and business site creation into a single platform.

 

Please note that there is no immediate impact on existing customers. Whether you have BTPEA/PAYG/CPEA or subscription-based licensing, you will continue to have full access to SAP Build Apps for the duration of your current contract.

SAP Build Apps is a no-code app builder tool to help business professionals develop enterprise-grade applications for desktop, browser, and mobile.

SAP Build Apps provides drag-and-drop capabilities for business developers to build enterprise-grade applications confidently without the need to write a single line of code. It also enables professional developers to build software faster and be more productive.

You can create front-end user experience apps with custom functionality, stand-alone apps, and side-by-side extensions to enterprise software such as SAP S/4HANA or SAP SuccessFactors solutions.

You can integrate SAP Build Apps with other SAP solutions through REST APIs and OData. Apps deployed on SAP BTP can leverage SAP BTP for authentication and access to SAP BTP destinations for easy integration with SAP and other enterprise data sources.

You can deploy apps created with SAP Build Apps to the Web, to app stores, and more.

In 2021, SAP acquired AppGyver Oy, a pioneer in no-code development platforms that enable users with no coding skills to build applications for Web and mobile use. SAP Build Apps evolved from SAP AppGyver and other SAP technologies. SAP Build Apps adds additional application-building capabilities for use in enterprises that address authentication, data integration, and lifecycle management needs. A community edition of SAP AppGyver remains available but does not include the features developed for use in enterprises.
