Activation service for SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration

  • Includes:

    • Activation of SAP Business Network tenant in SAP BTP

    • Validation of processes in scope: Subcontracting, freight tendering (RFQ based), freight order for confirmation, freight order reporting, carrier Invoicing, freight order charge update, dispute management, track freight movement, dock appointment scheduling (to use this last process customer should have implemented SAP Yard Logistics or SAP Extended Warehouse Management).

    • Onboarding of customer (Shipper): Technical onboarding to the solution so Shipper is activated.

    • Setup connection of SAP Business Network to customer backend in test and prod systems (SAP TM, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA).

    • Carrier onboarding initialization (via master data load program): Extraction of carrier master data from customer backend. These data will then be loaded into SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration

    • Initial configuration of SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration and assistance with:

      • Unit test (one person-day over three continuous days)
      • Moving unit test configuration to user acceptance test environment (one person-day over three continuous days).
      • Production cutover (one person-day over two continuous days).
    • Knowledge transfer to key users to manage/use SAP Business Network (one person-day over two continuous days) and assistance to reactive go-live support for two weeks (limited to two person-days).

  • Prerequisites:

    • Customer has a valid cloud subscription or software license (as applicable) for the following and has applicable software provisioned, licensed, and fully set up:

      • SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration (latest available version)
      • SAP Business Technology Platform (latest available version)
      • One of the Customer backend/backend groups listed below:
      • SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) 9.3 or higher standalone
      • SAP TM 9.3 or above with SAP ECC 6.0 or above
      • SAP TM in SAP S/4HANA 1709 or higher
    • Customer provides access to the following tiered system landscape: Test and production systems and shall activate the following in the test and production systems:

    • Any processes selected by Customer for integration with SAP Business Network must be activated in Customer’s backend.

    • SAP PI/PO (only relevant if SAP Business Network should be connected via PI/PO)

    • The web service runtime (only relevant if SAP Business Network should be connected via direct web service communication)

    • SAP cloud connector (only relevant if SAP cloud connector shall be used)

    • Relevant firewalls settings

    • Customer provides the following information:

      • Functional and non-functional specifications documents; role, profile, and security design documents; and detailed technical design documents.
      • Key design decision logs and architecture documentation, including application, logical, physical, and integration design documents.
