The basic trial of SAP Build is a limited-time, 30-day experience that allows you to learn about the solution’s features and capabilities at no cost and through a shared tenant using sample data. You can explore the system by using the guided tour or discovering the functionalities on your own.

 

The basic trial includes workbooks to explore line-of-business extensibility, develop side-by-side extensions using the SAP BTP ABAP environment, and create Joule skills to extend Joule. 

The basic trial only offers a selected subset of the overall functionality of SAP Build. Key user capabilities and administration rights for customization, master data management, or integration are not offered in this trial. Additionally, Joule skills created using the basic trial cannot be deployed to production environments.

A skill executes single, repetitive operations that have predefined inputs and outputs and don’t require reasoning (for example, retrieving warehouse stock levels). Skills can increase productivity by automating high volume, low-variance operations.

 

AI agents handle complex, multistep problems that require human-like reasoning, reflection, and adaptability (for example, predicting inventory shortages and suggesting reordering strategies).

 

A dedicated workbook in the basic trial explores this in detail. 

Joule skills are automatically triggered and orchestrated by Joule based on user intent and natural-language inputs.
