Sonja Simon

Sonja was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for SAP Americas as of April 1st, 2025.
She has over 25 years of experience in the finance area. In her role as CFO for the
Americas, she is responsible for driving SAP’s commercial support, operational excellence
and finance transformation in the region.
Since joining SAP in 2008, Sonja has held multiple key leadership roles in the global
finance team, most recently as the CFO for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) since
2020. Previously, she held the position as Global Head of Local Chief Accountants (LCA)
where she drove the globalization of accounting services. She also held the position of
Head of Group Reporting with a focus on SAP’s external reporting to its shareholders.
Prior to joining SAP, Sonja was manager at Ernst & Young Germany, overseeing audits of US
based companies.
Sonja holds an MBA from the Mannheim Business School and dual Bachelor of Science
degrees in both Accounting and Business Management from the University of Maryland’s
European Division. She is based in Norfolk, Virginia.
