The Photon Financial Hub Cloud is a Subledger and Accounting Engine that is designed specifically for SAP Customers in the Capital Markets, Insurance and Asset Management sectors. The Financial Hub is cloud native and is deployed on SAP HANA and leverages the latest SAP tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
The Hub product is deployed alongside a traditional SAP thin ledger, allowing complete data drill down from summary balances to detailed balances to transactions.
Photon's product provides a flexible, user-configurable, accounting engine that feeds a multi-GAAP, multi-currency, multi-entity Sub Ledger, holding summary and detailed balances. Photon stores the transactional data and reference data in a repository that is specifically designed for Capital Markets and Insurance.
Photon also automates the FX revaluation process, and provides period-end and year-end close with P&L selldown. On a daily basis, Photon sends the summary balances to the SAP S/4HANA General Ledger. The SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) front end can then view the SAP General Ledger and the Photon Hub data, allowing complete data transparency.
