Automated hospital bed occupancy notifications to the RKI via DEMIS
Using SAP BTP, this solution allows hospitals to automate required bed occupancy notifications. Users can view a pre-filled mask of the bed occupancy notification and correct it if necessary. The data is then submitted to DEMIS via FHIR with a confirmation of the message for the clinic.

Overview
Achieve compliance by fulfilling legal obligations
The Infection Protection Act requires the daily noon reporting of bed occupancy numbers for clinics. The solution enables you to meet this requirement and send the information automatically.
Save time and reduce workload by automating the notification process
The necessary figures are automatically determined and transferred to the necessary registration form and securely transmitted to the RKI via the required shipping route, even on weekends or off-duty days. This significantly reduces costs, because no one is needed to manually send the report.
Receive dispatch confirmation
Unlike manual notification dispatch, this system generates a send confirmation that can also be retrieved later and does not necessarily have to be done in one operation, so there's no waiting on a confirmation.

Features
Eliminate manual notification tasks
Clinics can implement the solution for fully automatic operation without any manual intervention or activity needed. One setup is complete, the solution runs automatically in the background, sending bed occupancy data every day to the health authorities.

Automatically receive and store confirmation reports
Our solution offers the possibility to receive the reception confirmations on weekends or off-duty days. If no one is online, the confirmation is automatically stored in an archive where you can view it any time for later clarification.

Simplify the sending process without Telematic Infrastructure
The solution streamlines and simplifies notification sending by avoiding the Gematik Telematic infrastructure but still retaining all of the security features required by the Robert Koch Institut (RKI). The solution uses the DEMIS Security Protocol and is based on the SAP BTP.
