Intent on consolidating HR data and standardising processes across its global operations, AGCO embarked on an HR transformation journey. The goal: achieve consistency, heighten compliance, improve employee experiences, and gain efficiencies from centralised HR data.

Transforming hire-to-retire processes with HR in the cloud

To create a single, centralised HR platform and establish flexible and consistent HR processes across the business, AGCO chose SAP SuccessFactors solutions. To enable cloud-based HR information management, training, recruitment, and talent development, the business implemented the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP SuccessFactors Learning, SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, and SAP SuccessFactors Compensation solutions.

 

Having a unified foundation for HR allows AGCO to empower its workforce with employee and manager self-services. With access to their profiles, users can update personal information, such as their address or bank account details. Employees can also initiate HR processes without the need to involve the HR team, which improves productivity along with the quality of employee data.

 

SAP SuccessFactors solutions also help AGCO meet global compliance requirements with localised best-practice processes, which are determined and enforced by SAP experts in each country.

 

Making the most of fast, paperless workflows using SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, the organisation can develop an approval flow for its goal-setting process to help boost transparency. Keeping managers in the loop helps enhance employee performance management, which underpins employee growth and future development.

 

In addition, to accommodate the shift to a work-from-home strategy and mass mobile hiring during the COVID-19 pandemic, AGCO uses e-signature offers in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting to speed recruitment in a digital world. SAP Signature Management by DocuSign enables faster, paperless recruiting, improving both recruiter efficiency and the candidate experience.

With one source of master data, the company increased efficiency in its HR operations and heightened data handling compliance while meeting various workforce regulations in all countries of operation.

 

Using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the foundation of its people management strategy, AGCO is now focused on continuous improvement and enhancement. With SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, AGCO has streamlined total compensation planning, optimising this critical retention tool while reducing the effort required to make and verify complex calculations.

 

To conduct training, AGCO uses SAP SuccessFactors Learning, giving employees access to a significant volume of training content. AGCO has further enhanced the learning experience by integrating SAP Content Stream applications by Skillsoft. Delivering an immersive learning experience, this integration allows employees to take advantage of a modern and engaging learner experience available anytime, anywhere. This approach came into its own during COVID-19, when employees enjoyed unfettered access to formal training while working at home. It has also simplified training content management for administrators.

 

Having deployed SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, AGCO can globally market positions that are flexible in location. The organisation is also vetting third-party apps and using API capabilities to extend its recruiting prowess to popular job boards and social media platforms.

Future Plans

Gaining a total view of the workforce while listening to each worker

AGCO intends to establish a simple and consistent approach for all employee movements and work will soon begin to define and deploy SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding. The company wants to fast-track the new-hire process, as well as offboarding and internal hire cross-boarding, by eliminating manual processes.

 

To gain a holistic view of the workforce, AGCO plans to integrate the SAP Fieldglass Contingent Workforce Management application and the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution. With combined data, AGCO will be able to make more-informed decisions about how to complete work and maintain compliance with labour regulations, which vary across the globe. Being able to quickly identify the most cost-effective resourcing channel for each task has the potential to deliver significant cost savings to the business and will help the company engage talent with the right skills at the right time.

 

The organisation is also looking to capture real-time insights into its employees’ and candidates’ experiences to better support them. For example, with successful candidates, AGCO wants to evaluate the recruitment experience so it can be improved. For this, the company intends to use the SAP Qualtrics Employee Engagement solution to conduct employee surveys. This will empower AGCO to develop and launch an enterprise-wide employee survey to gather valuable employee sentiment.
