Five years of skills research

The Future of Work Research Lab has studied the topic of skills in various ways for the past five years as it has dominated our annual list of HR meta-trends since 2020, consistently emerging as a top priority for organizations and HR to address. During this time, it has become clear that companies today realize the value of understanding the current and future skills required for their workforce, but struggle to do so. To help organizations achieve their skills goals, the scientists have published sets of insights on the topic of skills.

We have a lot of talented people with experience in different roles, but there are certain education basics. As much as I would love all jobs to be available to everyone, there are legal and compliance implications. A lawyer is the best example.
