For SAP, gender equality is a core company value and a strategic priority. In 2016, SAP was the first IT company to certify with Economic Dividends for Gender Equality (EDGE), an independent third-party certification organization that analyzes policies, practices, and data to help ensure a sustainable approach to diversity and inclusion.
In June 2017, SAP met the board-level goal of having 25% of management positions filled by women globally, with a continued commitment to increasing this number each year by 1%, to reach 30% by 2022.
In 2018, SAP recertified with the organization, recognizing our strategic commitment to creating a gender-equal workplace that benefits employees, customers, and partners. Going through the EDGE certification has helped us to identify gaps and set the course for where we want to go in the future.
