The State of Illinois has three branches of government: executive, legislative, and judicial.
The executive branch is split into several statewide elected offices, with the Governor as
chief executive. Legislative functions are granted to the General Assembly. The judiciary is
composed of the Supreme Court and lower courts.
Dell Technologies Inc. provides consultation services to assist the State of Illinois in
managing its IT infrastructure. After the State had completed a data refresh, several tenant
ports changed, disrupting connections to databases that relied on these ports for data
replication and accessing data from remote sources. To revert the ports to their original
settings, Dell Technologies sought expert services.
