Adopting cloud solutions supported by a cloud-based core
Sesajal is building its IT architecture, aspiring to harmonize its people, processes, and technology, so that it can embrace innovations efficiently. Based on a long-standing relationship with SAP, the food producer launched a cloud transformation project by selecting several solutions in SAP Business Suite. It adopted an SAP Cloud ERP Private solution as its ERP foundation using the RISE with SAP journey. And it integrated SAP Build solutions as its primary tools for extending business applications and integrating AI-driven workflow automations, enabling smarter decisions based on data insights. Sesajal collaborated with SAP AppHaus Palo Alto as a co-innovative physical space to explore and develop the new applications in SAP Build. Alfonso Cedillo Navarro, chief information officer at Sesajal, explains, “The team at SAP AppHaus was incredible to work with. Their human-centered approach helped us identify the right business use case and build a proper prototype. It’s a phenomenal way to connect business and user needs, saving time and adding more value for users.”
The company also chose SAP SuccessFactors HCM, including the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solutions, to improve its operational efficiency with standardized HR processes and data. Sesajal is learning how the Joule capability can help support its HR team by integrating the AI copilot with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. This allows it to elevate the employee experience by simplifying tasks and making it easier to find information and get answers to questions.
The business is using a connected suite of procurement solutions to drive efficiency and foster better supplier collaboration and management. This includes the SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, SAP Ariba Sourcing, and SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing solutions as well as the SAP Ariba Supplier Management package. Further, Sesajal is employing the SAP Commerce Cloud solution to help streamline its sales processes.

With a single source of accurate information, the company can make faster decisions and identify inefficient business processes. For example, monthly financial close time has been reduced from 15 days to 2 days, and vendor creation and invoicing—processes that had been complicated and time-consuming—are now more efficient.
With SAP Build, Sesajal has been able to create user-friendly business applications and streamline key processes. And the solutions can be integrated with SAP Cloud ERP Private without affecting core processes. The company can deliver solutions more quickly than before because there’s no need for an expert programmer to build a tool or create a process. This means fewer hours are spent writing code, lessening the workload.
