SAP had 96,498 employees (full-time equivalents) at year-end 2018, and increase of 7,955 over the prior year. In the same year, SAP received 175 global and local awards for diversity, inclusion, employer attractiveness, and people satisfaction.
Our Business Health Culture Index (BHCI) remained high. The BHCI assesses the degree to which our workplace culture supports people’s well-being, work-life balance, and organizational health. The BHCI remained within our target corridor, reaching 78% in 2018 (2017: 79%).
The People Survey 2018 results are very positive. One of our most important survey dimensions, the Employee Engagement Index (EEI), remained very strong in our target corridor at 84% (2017: 85%). Through 2021, we aim to keep our Employee Engagement Index between 84% and 86%.
