Process hazard analysis (PHA)

PHA is an organized and systematic assessments of the potential hazards associated with an industrial process. A PHA provides information intended to assist managers and employees in making decisions for improving safety and reducing the consequences of an unplanned releases of hazardous chemicals.

Overview

Hazard Mitigation

The purpose of process hazard analysis is to take a broad look at what goes into a process, point out potential problems, help eliminate or reduce risk and find ways to improve performance or quality.

The final assessment can be audited

All data, including the assessment, is embedded as part of the SAP Master Data. Users can track the changes to the master data, drill down into the algorithms, and see who and when the last assessment was performed.

Risk Mitigation

By putting systems in place to manage process safety, it will help reduce the potential for preventing major disasters involving the consequences of catastrophic releases of toxic, reactive, flammable, or explosive chemicals
