Release highlights

New AI-assisted features in the latest quarterly release of SAP Analytics Cloud include advanced formula generation when creating data actions aimed at manipulating, transforming and computing data for planning needs. This feature utilizes generative AI to automate the creation of data script logic, making the process of developing data actions easier, quicker, and more efficient.

Planning professionals can now generate complex advanced formula script logic directly from natural language input. They can also have descriptions of existing advanced formulas generated automatically in natural language to support their needs for reference and documentation.

A third AI-assisted feature in this release facilitates SAP Analytics Cloud user collaboration by streamlining commenting on a page or within a data story widget.

This feature uses generative AI to condense and simplify lengthy comments into essential points. It summarizes comment threads associated with data point, and it provides a hierarchical overview of multiple comments. Additionally, it can synthesize and aggregate data point comments from related cells, especially for comments found in a column. The feature also assists the translation of existing comments and the composition of new ones, including the ability to rephrase comments.

Inspired by numerous user requests posted to the SAP Customer Influence portal, this release introduces a new optimized table experience for SAP Analytics Cloud data stories. Users can either switch all tables in a story to this new experience or create a copy of the story for using it.

The optimized table experience provides interface consistency with chart widgets and includes all features of classic tables. Additional functionality includes undo/redo options, mobile compatibility, expanded tooltip settings, improved data synchronization, and a new intuitive builder panel designed for customizing layouts, assigning dimensions, adding calculations, and filtering data.
