Team Liquid is a world-renowned professional gaming organization established in 2000.
It has won more than US$43 million in prize money as well as 120 major titles and
counting. Scouting outstanding talent is essential to secure the long-term success of
Team Liquid. But the huge pool of potential players poses a challenge – there are
approximately 65,000 promising players in countries all around the world. Since forming,
the team has depended on personal contacts and player recommendations to scout
new players.
Team Liquid realized it needed a digital solution to identify potential junior players for
League of Legends, a popular video game with a massive competitive following. It knew it
could build a winning team using match data analysis criteria.
