The Challenge

Modernizing HR to support business growth

Business and IT consultancy Q_PERIOR has a clear vision: to become one of the best companies for professional consulting services.

To deliver a great employee experience and enable its people to develop and grow at the company, Q_PERIOR embarked on a journey to modernize its HR processes. 

 

“We looked to replace disparate processes with a single platform to cover the entire employee lifecycle,” says Mann. “We wanted to introduce employee self-services, and aimed to make HR more transparent for managers, giving them greater visibility of and access to employee information, which enables them to control profitability.”

The Solution

Building a foundation for digital HR transformation

Q_PERIOR selected SAP SuccessFactors Human Experience Management Suite (SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite) as the foundation for its digital HR transformation. 

 

“We have built our company on SAP software for many years, so SAP SuccessFactors solutions were the natural choice to support HR,” Mann reflects. “We already had some experience of using SAP SuccessFactors solutions in the past, and we liked the functionality and usability.” 

 

Q_PERIOR also chose to move its existing deployment of the SAP ERP application to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, offering fully integrated business operations. The company uses the extended edition of SAP S/4HANA Cloud to support the system integration and routing of information and processes from finance to sales to materials management more effectively and efficiently. 

 

With standardized processes and data availability for HR and finance in place, Q_PERIOR is better prepared for future growth. 

 

Additionally, Q_PERIOR has since integrated the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution with the company’s document management system, contract tools, and third-party recruitment system, establishing a single source of truth for everything related to HR. 

 

The company also implemented the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, and SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development solutions, as well as the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile app for on-the-go access to HR services.

The Result

Putting the employee experience first

With SAP SuccessFactors solutions, Q_PERIOR benefits from a unified overview of HR activity across the company, automated HR processes integrated with finance and payroll, and powerful reporting capabilities. 

 

Today, Q-PERIOR employees in eight countries use the solutions to manage everything from their personal information to performance objectives to annual leave – all from a single point of control. Meanwhile, the HR team is using a central system of record for employee data, minimizing duplication of effort and eliminating administrative work. 

 

Managers also benefit from full visibility of employee working hours, compensation, benefits, and chargeability. This gives them a better understanding of the profitability of their people. 

 

With the SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals solution, managers can track employee performance throughout the year. Additionally, they can use the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation solution to calculate compensation based on employee performance ratings and variable pay bonuses.

 

SAP SuccessFactors solutions have also helped Q_PERIOR improve the onboarding experience for new hires. Details entered into the SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding solution are reflected in SAP S/4HANA in real time, thanks to its integration with SAP Business Technology Platform. IT and finance teams can then access timely information about new hires ‒ including their start date and department ‒ to help set the foundation for a great work experience beginning on day one.

Future Plans

Striving for more

Looking ahead, Q_PERIOR plans to use the SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development solution to help identify top performers and high-potential talent, enabling managers to pick out and nurture suitable successors for critical positions. 

 

Mann comments, “As well as identifying suitable candidates to fill leadership roles, we plan to use SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development to maximize personal growth opportunities for our employees. We rely on the knowledge and experience of our highly skilled workforce, and we want to retain this talent.”
