Megan Smith
Head of People & Culture
SAP Americas
As the head of People & Culture for SAP Americas, Megan Smith provides HR leadership
across the region. Her focus is implementing the company’s overall people strategy while
ensuring meaningful, culturally aligned, and compliant people practices at the country
level. Her mission is to advance new and existing initiatives that support talent to thrive -
fostering a healthy, inclusive, and resilient work environment for the region’s diverse
workforce of more than 29,000 employees.
Megan’s diverse career journey at SAP spans two decades, encompassing various business
domains, from instructional design to product management, and predominantly in HR. She
has been an HR business partner supporting global leaders across sales, engineering,
marketing, and product support, and has also been deeply involved as an HR leader in
SAP’s acquired cloud businesses in North America. Most recently, Megan served as head of
HR for SAP North America.
Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of British
Columbia (UBC) and completed the UBC Community Leadership Program implementing
community service programs to schools and non-profits. She holds a Certificate in
Technical Communications from Simon Fraser University, where she also served as an
instructor. She resides in Vancouver with her husband and two children.
