With a rich tradition of high-quality watch manufacturing, Uhrenfabrik Junghans GmbH &
Co. KG has successfully moved toward digitalization on many levels. In 2019, the midsize
company introduced the multifaceted "Junghans goes Digital" project that included cloud-
based enterprise resource planning, fiber-optic connectivity, modern telephone systems,
and smart communication channels. It ultimately sought a digital software platform to
serve as a central and future-proof foundation, mainly aimed at optimizing processes,
avoiding system breakdowns, and offering employees the most uniform experiences
possible.
