Sandeep Gilotra
Sandeep Gilotra grew up in New Delhi, India before migrating to the US. He is now based in San Francisco as a Senior Director of Product Management, Security and Data Privacy for SAP SuccessFactors.
I heard about SAP from a friend who worked at SuccessFactors. The company culture, business/product challenges and the company approach to addressing these gravitated me towards having a conversation with the hiring manager. The rest is history!
I have now been at SAP for more than four years and I love every moment – the challenges, the culture, the learning aspects make it a fun environment to work at and learn and grow as a professional. The one thing that I like the most is SAP’s leadership transparency - the openness and willingness of senior and executive leadership to discuss and answer questions, there are NO closed doors.
My current role focuses on building and evolving SuccessFactors’ Security and Data Protection & Privacy (DPP) product capabilities. SuccessFactors, as the data processor of our customer’s HR Data, is in a very unique position to raise the bar for Data Security and DPP across the human experience, for our customers and their end users.
We are living in very interesting times, where we continuously see new crises thrown at us - both nationally and internationally. These times require resiliency, sticking to one’s core values and principles and an environment which supports and enables one to invest time in reviewing, reflecting and (attempting to) solving world’s problems.
But through all the uncertainty I still believe SAP is THE Best company to work for. Period.

- I have travelled to 35+ States in the US on business travel
- I know 5 languages, with speaking proficiency in 4 languages
