Atos has customers in more than 70 countries, and after some important acquisitions, Atos found that they had too many business tools in place. Atos needed a way to simplify their process and give buyers, managers, and stakeholders access to a single, unified, standard platform.

The goal was to gain greater visibility across the group and reduce the costs of the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) process. Atos also wanted to modernize their contract database, catalog, supplier relationship management, and e-sourcing tools for improved functionality.

By consolidating their existing applications and solutions, Atos was able to increase visibility into strategic sourcing and procurement activities across the group, reduce overhead in accounts payable, improve collaboration with suppliers, and realize easier integration of newly acquired companies.

Integrating New Acquisitions More Effectively

Incorporating SAP® Ariba® into their existing SAP ERP applications and the SAP HANA® Platform and reconfiguring existing SAP Business Warehouse and SAP BusinessObjects™ business intelligence solutions enabled the Atos procurement teams to run standard reports on expenditure, dialed down to sort them by country, legal entity, category, and vendor. With Ariba Supplier Information and Performance Management Selling reports enabled, Atos can now manage and track supplier information and performance with greater efficiency, saving time, money and effort for everyone involved.

Moving Forward by Automating Processes

With continued growth on the horizon, Atos plans to introduce SAP Fiori® for a refined, more user-friendly experience and introduce mobile apps that will enable managers to approve shopping carts on the go, thus speeding up the process.
Atos also is looking to invite suppliers to control their own data and sync it with SAP Ariba and SAP ERP, thus expanding their use of Ariba Supplier information and Performance Management Selling.
