This fail-first approach left users guessing, making mistakes and searching for answers. Admins were stuck dealing with errors after the fact, making everything more tedious.

To fix this, the SAP Concur team got direct feedback from users at SAP Concur Fusion 2023. During an interactive session, participants voted for the "Quick Tips on Expense Types" feature, which was a hit! By SAP Concur Fusion 2024, the new feature launched, offering clear descriptions and proactive tips for expense categories. This guidance helps users avoid mistakes before they happen, making the whole process faster and less frustrating.

Charles Mitchell, a user research expert, says, “Quick Tips made the process smoother by delivering just-in-time guidance on things like marking personal expenses and itemizing drinks.” One user summed it up: “The new feature is fabulous—so helpful!”
