The process „VMI-Processing with EDI Integration“ enables an automatic processing of the „VMI Information“ via EDI.The following processes can be mapped with this solution1. Storage location fill-up of a customer consignment storage location (ESA)2. Direct shipment without customer consignmentProcess description: Forecast delivery schedules (optional) received from the OEM are included in the sales scheduling agreement of the component supplier. VMI-Information (IDoc PROACT) received from the OEM can automatically update the masterdata table. Due to the stock situation at the component supplier or the customer/ESA and considering adjusted parameters (minimum stock level, maximum stock level), a storage location fill-up occurs by the component supplier.
